Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department to replace station 1 with new modernized facility

In 1978, the Atascocita Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD) finished construction on its first fire station, Fire Station #1, located at the corner of Farmingham Road and Walden Forest Drive.

Station 1 has seen a lot in its 36 years of service to the community, and has been expanded several times to accommodate the addition of Emergency Medical Services (Ambulances), the AVFD’s first aerial fire truck, the administrative staff offices, and overnight crew quarters.

Station 1 was officially vacated, and retired in December of 2014, and will soon be replaced by a new modern facility with up to date equipment, resources, and technology.

The new Fire Station will be constructed in the same location, replacing the retired station 1 at Farmingham Road and Walden Forest Drive.  The new facility will provide adequate room for future expansion, and help the department continue to provide excellent emergency response, and public safety to Atascocita, Texas.
