As a Rookie Firefighter Vivi Rodriguez fell in love with baking from scratch for the guys at the department for every “first” they experienced.
Growing up Vivi didn’t have the means for ingredients, so she relied on box mixes, after finding out that a box cake is a firefighters pet peeve she began baking from scratch. She used her creativity to decorate desserts, cakes and treats and enjoyed the excitement others experienced from her creations.
A little over a year ago Vivi and her Husband started Boniatillo Bakery out of their home near Summerwood. “We make everything from scratch” said Vivi “From the buttercream to the fondant, everything is made in small batches to ensure freshness and deliciousness”.
It didn’t take long for word of mouth to spread. “I couldn’t believe my clients were enjoying my product as much as I was enjoying making them!” Vivi realized that although she loved her job as a firefighter, her family needed her closer to home. So she decided to begin baking full time, allowing her to spend more time with her family as well as bringing joy to others with her desserts.
