Clubs of Kingwood Completes Multimillion-Dollar Renovation

The Grand Opening Completes a Nearly Two-Year Reinvention Bringing New Kingwood and Deerwood Clubhouses, New Fitness Center, and a Renovated Water Park.

The Clubs of Kingwood, a member of the ClubCorp family of clubs, announces the completion of a nearly two-year renovation project with the debut of the newly rebuilt Kingwood Clubhouse, bringing stylish new dining and social features. The Kingwood clubhouse reinvention follows the January grand reopening of the clubhouse at Deerwood Golf Club, also part of The Clubs of Kingwood. In May 2018, the club opened the new, completely rebuilt 20,000-square-foot Kingwood Fitness & Sports and a newly renovated water park.

“This opening of the Kingwood clubhouse, which completes nearly two years of recovery projects after Hurricane Harvey, truly signifies the beginning of an exciting new and dynamic era for The Clubs of Kingwood,” said Blake Roberts, General Manager. “We are going into summer offering even more new amenities and features that elevate the member experience and provide more value to membership. Our members have been amazing throughout this journey to recovery – we are so proud to be a part of and to serve this community.”

The Reinvented Clubs of Kingwood

The two new Kingwood and Deerwood clubhouses – each original in design and elegance – both feature upscale bar areas, contemporary seating throughout, communal tables where members can connect and big screen TVs throughout creating ideal sports to watch the big game or catch up on the latest news. Innovative new menus feature original fare, signature club favorites, local craft beers bottled and on tap, and hand-crafted cocktails.

Additional amenities of the Kingwood clubhouse include a sophisticated private event lobby and dining space, while the Deerwood clubhouse offers new men’s and women’s locker rooms, new golf shop and new personalized arrival golf experience and golf carts.

The Kingwood Fitness & Sports Center offers the latest in cutting-edge weight and cardio equipment, specialized programming – TRX golf, Wexer virtual fitness trainers and indoor cycle studio – plus outdoor fitness classes, interval training, fitness tracking and mind + body classes, such as specialty yoga, Pilates with reformers, Pilates Barre and body flow.

The renovated water park includes private cabanas, resort-style poolside furniture, Big Kahuna water slides, landing pool and splash pad, plus poolside bar and outdoor kitchen.

“It’s a privilege to live in a community where friends, neighbors and even strangers have come together to ensure that Kingwood, and the surrounding areas, are stronger than ever,” said Tim Lavin, president of the club’s board of governors. “The club, which is about lasting friendships and the bonds we make, is the cornerstone of the Kingwood community. The members supported the club’s efforts in reemerging from the floodwaters and look forward to enjoying the club and the exceptionally bright future.”
