Eli Lilly Breaks Ground at Generation Park
Eli Lilly has officially broken ground on its new $6.5 billion manufacturing facility at Generation Park. The site will manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients for Lilly medicines, including Foundayo, its new oral GLP-1 weight-management drug, and is expected to create more than 600 permanent jobs along with approximately 4,000 construction jobs.
Lilly is also providing $12.5 million to support workforce training with San Jacinto College, including expanded training facilities, programs for manufacturing careers and student scholarships.
