CureFest was inspired from the spirit, and determination of Phil Baumann, a long time Humble resident that was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) in 2011, GBM is frequently considered an incurable form of brain cancer.  It is a disease that over several decades has frequently not been treatable. Thanks to advances at MD Anderson Phil received the most progressive surgeries and treatment that were available, and now his family is on a mission to share the hope they now have with other families. 100% of event proceeds go directly to MD Anderson Cancer Center here in Houston to fund brain cancer research.
