The $381 Million Luce Bayou Project breaks ground will deliver 500 million gallons of water per day to Lake Houston

The Luce Bayou Interbasin Transfer Project (LBITP) is a $381 Million dollar water supply project, including a pump station located on the banks of the Trinity River, 3 miles of dual 96-inch diameter pipeline, and approximately 23.6 miles of earthen canal. The canal will run from Liberty County through eastern Harris County and outfall into the lower reaches of Luce Bayou. The project will deliver up to 500 million gallons of water per day to Lake Houston and the Northeast Water Purification Plant.
